Senior Frontend Engineer
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Developer/Engineer to join our dynamic team of driven engineers working on cutting-edge ed-tech projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong software development background (5+ years), be passionate about user experience and product quality, and bring curiosity, creativity, and precision to their work.
As a Frontend Developer, you'll be responsible for building the client side of our web applications — translating complex educational workflows and AI-powered features into functional, elegant, and engaging interactive experiences.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain web features for AI-powered ed-tech platforms used by thousands of students and educators
- Utilize the latest frontend technologies to build innovative learning experiences
- Work extensively with Material UI and ES6/7
- Promote open communication, constant feedback, and fast decision-making
- Find creative solutions to complex technical challenges
- Contribute to enterprise-level software development projects
- Collaborate with backend developers to debug and improve system integration
- Stay current with emerging frontend technologies and best practices
- Ensure high-quality graphic standards and brand consistency
- Optimize applications for performance, responsiveness, and speed
- Gather user feedback and build solutions that improve usability and satisfaction
- Collaborate closely with designers and backend developers to deliver cohesive user experiences
- Design and implement mobile-first features
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Required Experience and Education
- 5–7 years of professional development experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred
Skills and Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience with JavaScript, including React (3+ years) and TypeScript (1+ year)
- Strong understanding of modern frontend testing and JavaScript bundling tools
- Advanced knowledge of CSS frameworks and preprocessors (e.g., Sass, SCSS)
- Experience integrating APIs and working with microservices
- Familiarity with Material UI and responsive design principles
Work Conditions
This is a fully remote position. Must be available during U.S. business hours.
